How can Sport Massage benefit you?

Whether you are an athlete, recreational gym user or just want a relaxing massage then you can benefit from
Sports Massage.

The benefits include, relaxation, improved circulation, reduced aching, quicker recovery from minor injury or workouts, gains in flexibility, and preparation for sport.

Does Sport Massage hurt?

Generally speaking, the deeper the massage the more muscle fibres we can work on. This makes the massage more efficient. However, your comfort is also of huge importance, and you will constantly been asked how the pressure is, and if you want it deeper or more superficial throughout the massage.

It is recommended that you ice any treated areas that are particularly sore AFTER the massage to reduce swelling and help quicken the overall recovery time.

About Me

I studied at UWIC and have a Level 4 Diploma in Sport Massage Therapy accredited by OCR.

The majority of clients are recreational gym users or amateur athletes but I have also worked with professional athletes including international rugby players and international footballers.

Clients have included:

Members of the New Zealand All Black Rugby Union squad.
Swansea City Football Club
Wales Rugby Union Youth Team
Welsh Premier League Rugby Players

I am also a professional sports coach which I feel gives me a better understanding of how injuries can occur and so how to treat them and stop them reocurring. I will often recommend stretches or strengthening exercises to reduce your dependence on massage.

I now operate from Fitness Solutions Health and Fitness Club, Western Ind Est, Caerphilly, CF83 1BQ.
